Phoenix Tran, OD
Dr. Phoenix Tran is a therapeutic and glaucoma certified optometrist (TLG). She completed her undergraduate degree at Cameron University in Oklahoma where she earned her Bachelor’s degree of Chemistry and graduated with honors. She was inducted into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, an invitational honor membership offered by her University. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Marshal B. Ketchum University, where she also graduated with honors. She was also inducted into Beta Sigma Kappa, an invitational membership to Optometric Honor Society for those who demonstrated academic excellence.
Dr. Tran received her training from the VA Medical Center Las Vegas, where she received in-depth training on diagnoses and management of glaucoma, ocular diseases and low vision in geriatric population.
She also had an extensive one-on-one training on ocular diseases, emergency traumatic ocular injury, neuro-ophthalmology and retinal surgeries at Retina Macular Institute in Torrance, California. Further training included primary care, binocular and vision therapy, pediatric, contact lenses fitting at Ketchum Health Eye Center in Southern California, and Military base in Camp Zama, Japan.
Dr. Tran is also a honorary veteran of the United States Army where she served as Non-commissioned Officer. She received numerous Army Achievement medals, Good Conduct Metals and Army Commendation Medals due to her achievement, dedication and diligence during her time serving our Country. She was stationed in Reynolds Army Community Hospital in Fort Sill, Oklahoma and Yongsan Optometry Clinic in South Korea.
Dr. Tran is motivated by her desire to ensure everyone receives the best care possible and to guard her patients’ vision as long as her patients live so they can see their loved ones. To that end, Dr. Tran has dedicated her career to focusing in ocular diseases and providing post-operative care for all eye surgeries. She is committed to caring for and providing comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages in her community here in Los Angeles County.
Dr. Tran is a first generation immigrant from Vietnam. She speaks Vietnamese fluently and Spanish. On the weekend, Dr. Tran likes to spend time with her family. Her hobbies include hiking, cosplaying and photography
